An increasing number of Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) programs are incorporating CTAP Online as a tool for helping their participants acquire and/or demonstrate personal proficiency and technology-integration skills. |
Jeanie Luckey, BTSA Director for Vista Unified School District in San Diego County, has designed a successful program that incorporates EdTechProfile and CTAP Online. Participating BTSA teachers use the EdTechProfile skills assessment (which is correlated to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Program Standards 9 and 16) to evaluate each individual's current technology skills. The participants then use CTAP Online courses and tools to build and/or demonstrate proficiencies in order to meet the CCTC Standards.
