The BTSA Connection

An increasing number of Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) programs are incorporating CTAP Online as a tool for helping their participants acquire and/or demonstrate personal proficiency and technology-integration skills.

Jeanie Luckey, BTSA Director for Vista Unified School District in San Diego County, has designed a successful program that incorporates EdTechProfile and CTAP Online. Participating BTSA teachers use the EdTechProfile skills assessment (which is correlated to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Program Standards 9 and 16) to evaluate each individual's current technology skills. The participants then use CTAP Online courses and tools to build and/or demonstrate proficiencies in order to meet the CCTC Standards.

Jeanie collaborated with Poway Unified School District staff to develop the following document, which outlines the alignment between CTAP Online resources and CCTC Standard 16
