EETT

The California Department of Education (CDE) web site is the official source of information for Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Grants: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/et/ft/eett.asp.

EETT provides funding for school technology from the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, which is used in classrooms to improve student academic achievement. The annual state allocation for all of EETT is divided into Formula and Competitive funding across the sate, and in each CTAP region.  CTAP 9 regional staff members are available to assist districts and charters in these endeavors.

Formula: Districts and Charters that complete and have state approval for an EETT based Technology Plan (see funding and coordination on the left side of this page) receive yearly Formula funding.  For information on Formula funding go to: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/et/ft/eettformula.asp and follow the link for "Complete Grant Information" for the most current year available.

Competitive: Applications for Competitive funding are often open in the spring of a given school year.  The purpose of Competitive funding is to allow a district or charter, to propose an intensive, well organized, researched based, two year project, funded one time at about  $300 per student, in grades 4 through 8, that emphasizes using technology to deliver standards in the classroom and increase assessment levels for the students involved. CTAP Region 9 staff members are available to assist in this development.  For complete and current information on EETT Competitive funding go to: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/et/ft/eettcomp.asp, and follow the link for the most current round available.
