Ed Tech K-12 Voucher Update

The online application for the Ed Tech K-12 Voucher Program was released by the California Department (CDE) on September 25, 2006. Districts will apply on behalf of their eligible schools. Eligible schools include public K-12 schools, charter schools and county offices of education that had at least 40% Free and Reduced Price Meals percentage, according to the district's 2005-06 Consolidated Application.

Promising Practices: Techlink Newsletter
The Summer 2008 edition of the Promising Practices: Techlink newsletter is now available for download. Promising Practices includes community highlights, program spotlights, and the Digital Aliens comic. PD-ROM: Professional Development Resources Online Mathematics
PD-ROM is online professional development created for mathematics teachers to improve academic achievement in mathematics as evidenced by improved test scores. Professional development through PD-ROM provides collaborative online learning environments, led by supportive and skilled facilitators, geared toward the state content standards. Targeting frequently missed CAHSEE questions, the instruction and teaching methods of PD-ROM are designed to support student achievement and success in mathematics. Student Showcase Projects
The CTAP Student Technology Showcase Program is an opportunity for students, teachers and administrators to highlight their unique and innovative projects before a wide audience. Selected 2008 student representatives presented at the OC Student Technology Showcase, and four groups were asked to present at the State Student Technology Showcase at the Computer Using Educators (CUE) Conference.
